TalentBridge aimed to create a hiring platform for startups scaling from 5 to 50 employees. I designed a solution to simplify recruitment while ensuring quality hires, addressing the unique needs of fast-growing teams.


Problem / Context

Private academies rely heavily on manual processes for scheduling, grading, communication, and payments. These workflows increase operational costs, limit scalability, and prevent personalized learning.

The shift to digital SAT testing further exposed gaps. Many academies lacked the tools to prepare students for online exams or to track progress effectively across instructors, students, and parents.

How might we design a single platform that reduces operational overhead while enabling personalized, adaptive SAT preparation?


Research / Insights

Methods:

  • Competitive analysis of SAT prep and education platforms

Key Insights:

  • Most platforms solve individual problems, not the full academy workflow

  • Scheduling and communication are major sources of friction

  • SAT-aligned interfaces improve student confidence

  • Personalized instructor feedback is a strong differentiator

  • Admin visibility is critical for scaling operations

Ideation / Design Strategy

Based on research, we structured the platform around role-based experiences and feature buckets, ensuring each user type had clear, purpose-driven workflows.

Design Principles:

  • Role-specific views for students, instructors, and admins

  • Familiar SAT-like testing interfaces

  • Centralized data visibility for performance tracking

  • Feedback loops that reinforce learning

  • Flexible systems that scale with academy growth

Design Solution (End-to-End Platform)

1. Scheduling & Time Management

  • Role-specific calendar views for students, instructors, and admins

  • Instructor-set availability with student reschedule requests

  • Approval-based workflow to prevent conflicts

2. User Management & Profiles

  • Student profiles with diagnostics, roadmaps, and score breakdowns

  • Instructor/admin dashboards for cohort-level visibility

  • Integrated chat for student–teacher communication

3. Testing & Assessment

  • SAT-mimicked testing interface (fonts, layout, structure)

  • Practice and mock exams for Math and Reading & Writing

  • Post-test summaries with actionable insights

4. Feedback & RedPen

  • Instructor-side feedback on specific questions

  • Student reflection flow to reinforce learning

  • Structured error analysis to drive improvement

5. Payments & Financial Management

  • Invoice-to-confirmation payment flow

  • Multiple payment options including Apple Pay and PayPal

  • Automatic receipt generation

Each section was designed to support a clear user goal while maintaining consistency across the platform.

Learnings & Reflections

Designing Möbius from scratch reinforced the importance of system-level thinking in complex, multi-user products. Balancing student experience with instructor efficiency and admin control required constant trade-offs and iteration.

Weekly feedback sessions with Möbius stakeholders ensured alignment and helped refine features based on real operational needs. This project strengthened my ability to design scalable platforms that balance usability, structure, and adaptability.
